Joe G Hernandez

Joe G. Hernandez, 86, went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2020. He was born July 8, 1934 to Jose and Dominga Hernandez and grew up in the Corpus Christi area. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Elma Hernandez, daughter Norma H. Porres and brother Benito Hernandez. He leaves to cherish his memory – loving children Armando Hernandez, Edna Hernandez (Monty), Raul Hernandez, Patsy Garza (Juan), Roland Hernandez; along with 7 grandchildren, Deanna, Daniel, Stephen, Matthew, Angela, Michelle, Juan Jr.; and 6 great grandchildren, Jose III, Deanna, Tristan, Ava, Jessie and Scarlett.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for parts of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken & nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Dad will be deeply missed by his loving children, family & many friends.

May God grant him eternal rest.
