A devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, Joann lived a long life defined by kindness, resilience, and a deep love for her family.
Born in Washington D.C. in 1935, Joann lived a full life, nurturing generations with her warmth, wisdom, and witty sense of humor. Whether through her thoughtful words or quiet acts of generosity, Joann left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She had a deep appreciation for art, antiques, history, and politics. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her laugh, her stories, and her presence will be missed dearly.
Joann is survived by Julie Held Moorhead (Dr. Cary Moorhead), Jeffrey Andrew Held (Mrs. Frances Held), and Bruce Harrill (Mrs. Leah Harrill) along with her 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
