Henri (Jacques) S. Huard

Henri Simon Jacques Huard, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on January 14, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1942 in Caen, France. He moved to the US at the age of 8, where he attended school and learned English. After graduating high school, Jacques joined the US Army. He served for 3 years before being honorably discharged. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in International Finance and a masters degree in Business Administration. Jacques enjoyed staying active in many ways including cycling in the MS150, playing tennis, running, and going to yoga classes with his buddies. He also found great fulfillment in volunteering his time. He was an assistant Boy Scout master, taught adults how to read, and spent much of his adult life working in the Church parish.

Jacques is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Sue Huard; sons, Jacques Emile Huard and Jean Cameron Huard; daughter, Marie Helene Day and husband, Max Day; Sue’s children: son, Christopher Tlucek; daughter, Jennifer Armstrong and husband, Michael Armstrong; daughter, Karin Lopez and husband, Matthew Lopez; 11 grandchildren; brother Claudy Huard and wife, Peggy Huard; sister Evelyne Lindstrom and husband, Robert Lindstrom; brother Rene Huard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society or St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church.
