Hailey Georgia Harris

Hailey Georgia Harris, age 45, passed away after a courageous seven-year battle with breast cancer. Born in Natchez, Mississippi, Hailey lived a life marked by strength, love, perseverance, and an enduring positive spirit.

Hailey spent much of her youth in Sugar Land, Texas, where she graduated from Stephan F. Austin High School. Hailey earned a scholarship with the Blinn College Treasures Dance Team. She was on the dance team for 2 years. She continued her education at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

Professionally, Hailey dedicated 17 years to Beam Suntory before going on long-term disability. Throughout her career, she was known for her dedication, warmth, and the positive attitude she brought to those around her.

Above all, Hailey was a devoted mother to her two sons, Harrison DeLaRosa and Pierce DeLaRosa, who were the most cherished part of her life.

Hailey is also survived by her Father, John Harris, and his wife, Teresa Harris, of San Antonio, Texas; Mother, Kim Pataky, and Rick Pataky, of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Carter Harris, and his wife, Agatha Agudelo, of Valencia, Spain; sister Holly Gallogly, and her husband, Craig Gallogly of Castle Rock, Colorado; step sisters Michele Mc Intosh and Christie Rouse; along with Grandmother, Dr. Mary B. Harris, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Hailey is preceded in death by her Grandfather Dr. Robert Harris, and Grandparents George and Joy Carter.

Hailey had a deep love for the outdoors: and found happiness in the beauty of nature. She especially loved raising butterflies, finding joy in watching them grow, transform, and take flight.

Those who knew Hailey will remember her beautiful smile, her cheerful outlook, and the remarkable strength she showed throughout her life. Even during her seven-year battle with breast cancer, Hailey faced difficult days with courage and determination. Her illness was only one chapter of her story and never defined the person she was. Hailey was truly larger than life.

Hailey's greatest legacy will live on through her sons, her family, and the many people whose lives were touched by her kindness and spirit. Her smile will be remembered, her strength admired, and her love carried forward by all who knew her.

Hailey will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life honoring Hailey Georgia Harris will be held on October 3. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Hailey’s life, share memories, and remember the joy, strength, and beautiful spirit she brought to those who knew and loved her.
