George Richard Hamilton, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, at the age of 84. A man of deep faith, he lived with kindness, integrity, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Born on September 5, 1940, in Malden Massachusetts, George had a lifelong passion for learning, leading to a successful career in finance. A hardworking provider, he always prioritized his family’s well-being before enjoying a well-earned retirement.
For 53 wonderful years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Veronica Rose Hamilton, building a home filled with love and laughter. Together, they raised two children, whose families, including his four treasured grandchildren, brought him endless joy.
George found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—good books, thoughtful conversations, a glass of his favorite scotch, and cheering for his Texas A&M football team. He was also a dedicated volunteer at St. Theresa Catholic Church’s soup kitchen, always eager to help those in need.
He is now reunited in eternal peace with his parents, George and Helen Hamilton, and siblings, Helen Bankowski and Roy Hamilton. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Veronica, his children, Edward Hamilton (Catie) and Deborah Daugherty (Brad), and his grandchildren, Emily, Allison, Jacob, and Kaelyn. Though deeply missed, his memory will forever live on.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Laurence Catholic Church on April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a lunch reception.
May he rest in eternal peace.
