Freddie and I lived across the street from one another when we were teenagers and I have lots of great memories. There were many fun days on Galveston Beach with our young bikini bodies and favorite LOUD music. If a neighboring car got stuck in the sand Freddie would be the first to offer help. 

Freddie loved baseball and there were many front yard baseball games that would run well into the evening. We all hoped to get picked by Freddie because she was a great player and had such a love for the game.

Freddie loved her family. Her Mom worked so she watched her siblings and always had their best interest at heart. She will forever be remembered for her love of others, quick wit, and firm convictions. Her memory will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend. I’ll see you again when I get to heaven.

Freddie was my oldest sister. After our Father passed away she often times had to be a parent to me and my siblings. She put her own ambitions aside so each of us could have a better chance in life. 

As I think back over the years it’s hard to pick one story. I remember when she moved to Oklahoma and came back to visit. She had a blue VW bug with a bumper sticker that read, B***H, B***H, B***H on the back window. She told me if I could start the VW, I could drive it. Well, I not only started it and drove it, but I managed to get us chased by the police. She was so pissed, when we made it home she kicked my A*S!

Freddie never kept her door locked to me. Anytime I was in serious trouble she would allow me to stay with her. She would let me detox from whatever I was on at the time. Then she would hug me and send me on my way. Only to get that phone call from me time again and time again !!! 

She LOVED WITHOUT JUDGEMENT and had A CARING SOUL. I have finally sobered up and recently brought her my 10 year Sobriety Chip There won't be a day I don’t think about her. 

RIP MY SWEET SISTER UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN !!!

Freddie’s mother and my mother were twin sisters.  We all got together as much as life allowed.  I always looked forward to spending time with my cousins, especially Freddie.  We were only eight months apart in age, so we always got along well.  After Freddie’s father’s untimely death her family moved to Pasadena where my family lived.  We were so happy to have them so nearby!  Just about every weekend I was at their house!  Freddie and I had some wild and fun times!  We were never bored when we were together!  While we shared the same love for food and music, we were just happy being around each other.  
As we grew older we didn’t spend much time together.  While we weren’t close physically any longer, my love for Freddie remained strong.  
Freddie and Nelda were always so good to my kids and I’ll never forget that.  They made the holidays special and the summers more fun!
Until I see you again, I will continue to love and miss you sweet Freddie.

I have fond memories of growing up with freddie and meeting her, tina and her family in Pasadena Park every Tuesday for tuna fish sandwiches, ruffles chips and sweet tea .
She was the type of cousin that would sit next to me in church & get in trouble with me for laughing.

After we became adults, we would meet up for fishing trips & lunch dates and it always felt like no time had passed.

Her love of animals & all her rescue efforts was always so impressive to me. I am beyond proud of the woman I loving call cousin.

Freddie, I love you. Kiss Paul for me at the pearly gates and we will all see each other again.

Aunt Nelda my heart is with you! Freddie was a force to be reckoned with, stubborn as a mule, fiesty, and so much fun! Loved sports and music and fish! She always really went out of her way to make sure I felt special. I love you both.

I do remember one summer I was dared to write a bad word on the chalkboard, which I did, then  one of the cousins (not sure who told on me) told my Uncle Bobby which I received a  good talking to. 

We always were running around the neighborhood  getting in trouble when they finally moved to Pasadena. 

I always admired Freddie and Nelda love for each other.

I’ve always loved this photo of Freddie because she was doing what she loved. Sitting outside with a dog in her lap.

Her obituary says “Sassy.” That made me laugh. When we were little sometimes we fought like brothers and sisters. Freddy could knock your block off. Sassy, yeah, right. Yeah, she’s probably got a line in the water right now. I’ll see ya again, Freddy.

When we were little, Freddy and I talked of getting married once we grew up. My sister, Cindy and I spent 2 weeks or so with them each summer, so I remember a few stories. This one has been on my mind for the last few days. It’s the time when we took Charlie’s big car when Aunt Mary and Charlie had gone out of town. We all went partying at Bay Area Park. And would ya know it, we got stuck in the mud. Stuck bad. I really don’t remember how we got the car out of the mud. I think some hippie dudes helped us or something like that. But we washed that car from top to bottom and got it looking like new. And, as usual we got busted. Charlie knew the mileage, I guess. I’m certainly glad that Freddy found her Nelda and was happy. She deserved it. Freddy was a cool chick.
