Elizabeth Marie Morgan, lovingly known as Liz, passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 76.
Liz was born on May 19, 1950, in Burnet, Texas. She spent the majority of her adult life in the Deer Park area, where she raised her family and made a life filled with many cherished memories. Later in life, she moved to Humble to be closer to her son, Jason, daughter-in-law, Kristi, and granddaughter, Karley.
Liz was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Morgan, who passed away in August 2017; her parents, Vernon and Dorothy Conerly; her brother, Danny Ray Conerly; and her nephew, James Conerly.
She is survived by her son, Jason Morgan and his wife, Kristi; her granddaughter, Karley McHale; her brother, Wesley Conerly and his wife, Cheri; and her nephews, John Conerly, Wesley Conerly, and Nick Conerly, along with other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
Liz devoted much of her life to being a stay-at-home mom, a role she treasured. She also worked as a crossing guard in Deer Park, helping generations of children safely make their way to and from school.
Those who knew Liz knew how much she loved music and dancing. Classic country held a special place in her heart, and Conway Twitty was always her favorite. She enjoyed her gossip magazines and keeping up with the stars she had followed through the years.
Liz loved the Lord and had a special love for angels, which she collected throughout the years. Her faith was an important part of her life and brought her comfort through both the joyful and difficult seasons.
Above everything else, Liz loved her family. Being a mother and grandmother brought her great joy, and moving closer to Jason, Kristi, and Karley allowed her to spend her later years surrounded by those she loved most.
While her family will miss her deeply, they find comfort in knowing that Liz is at peace and has been reunited with her beloved Jack. The music is playing again, and we can only imagine that she is dancing once more.
“And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” — Psalm 23:6
Her family will carry her memory with them always, until they meet again.
