Delores Faye Wigal

Delores Faye Wigal (Dee) born July 12, 1946, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. A beloved matriarch and retired special needs school bus driver for Houston Independent School District, Delores touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Viren Hamrick and Selma Waggoner-Hamrick, and her beloved spouse, L. Jane Winslett. Delores is survived by her sister, Doris Gerheim (Dennis) of Davie, FL; brother, Robert Hamrick (Saralee) of Detroit MI; children, Deanna Corbett (Robert) of Porter, TX, and Creden Wigal (Nickie) of San Antonio, TX; as well as nine grandchildren (Brittany, Kristi, Denise, Aaron, Kyle, Cody, Alex, Samantha, Megan) and 16 great-grandchildren.

Known for her ready advice, kind words, and open home, Delores was the glue that held her large family together. Her unconditional love and unwavering support left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
