Bryan Gibson Dawson died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the age of 27 years old. He leaves behind his parents, Gib and Becky; sisters, Bethany and Rachel; and his dogs, Buddy and Trixie. He will also be missed by his grandmother, Lynndee Munson Keels, and his aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Munson and Giddens families.
Bryan loved to play golf, cheer on the Dallas Mavericks, eat spicy food, go fishing, watch UFC fights, and proudly supported his LSU Tigers. His smile was infectious and his sarcastic humor never failed to make a room laugh. Bryan will be incredibly missed by all who knew him and he will always be remembered fondly. A celebration service for Bryan will be held at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas, on Tuesday, May, 24, 2022, at 3 pm.
Bryan graduated from Louisiana State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. He will be missed greatly by his friends from LSU, including his Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity brothers. Bryan will be forever remembered as “Toaster” to his many LSU friends. A celebration service for Bryan will be held at LSU; the family requests purple and gold LSU attire be worn in his memory. The celebration will be outside at the Greek Theater, also known as the amphitheater, next to the Music and Dramatic Arts building off Dalrymple Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, the Dawson family requests donations be sent to a foundation in Bryan’s name to support LSU students in addiction recovery. The link for donations is as follows: lsufoundation.org/bryandawson.
