It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Mema and G-Ma, Ange Judith Fletcher, she earned her wings on December 18, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She lived life beautifully, full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She was an amazing mother who was always there to offer support, encouragement, wisdom, and her love in abundance. She was the “coolest” Mema always ready for the next adventure, the life of the party (if you could keep up), and the friend you needed, who would listen and never judge.
Ange was born October 19,1943 in Trenton, NJ to Paul and Willie Coomler. She grew up in Indiana graduating from Kokomo High School, and spending summers on Lake Shafer. Ange was a super-star baton twirler winning three National Baton Champion Titles. She went on to Ball State University to lead the marching band and drill team where she met the love of her life Jon David Fletcher. Dave and Ange married on November 24, 1962, and had two sons, Tim and Ted.
Dave and Ange lived life to the fullest and were blessed to travel through every state in America as well as visit many countries around the world. There was no doubt she loved America and was proud to be a military mom. She instilled the American dream and values in her family and loved the red, white, and blue.
Ange worked most of her life with her husband, Dave, in several family-owned businesses. She spent the last part of her life working in the senior housing industry with her son Ted. Her guidance and direction in opening, marketing, and managing senior living communities has brought great success to the team at Sycamore Creek Ranch. The family would like to especially thank all the staff and care team that provided care for Ange while she lived in the community. You honored her and for that we are truly grateful.
Ange was a devout Christian. Above all things she loved Jesus. Her favorite verse was Matthew 6:33 – Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. She was never too busy to stop and pray with someone or love someone when they were in need- no matter how she felt. Her faith was put to the test many times during her life, but she never lost her faith in God.
Ange was predeceased by her husband, Dave, and her son Tim. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Maritza, her daughter-in-law Fernanda, her grandchildren, Zac and Brooke, Noelle and Blake, David and Kiera, Noah, Dom and Emily, Zoe, Daviana, and Zion, and her great grandchildren, Josie, Rylee, Hallie, Jase, and Millie, her sisters Joan Lee and Kym Coomler-Harris, and her sister-in-law Jill Lohndorf, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and keeping the faith.
