Alfred John Williams

Alfred John Williams 85 passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023. Al was born on April 26, 1938, and grew up in Clinton, NY. The son of David and Derfla (Ireland) Williams, Al was the oldest of three children, and was a long-time resident of Syracuse, NY prior to moving to Houston, TX several years ago. In Houston Al resided at Eagles Trace, first in the independent living community and was most recently cared for by the skilled nursing staff.

Al was a long-time employee of IBM where he spent most of his career in Syracuse, NY. Al enjoyed skiing, Syracuse sports, cooking gourmet food at home as well as going out for a great meal and spending time with family and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Utica NY.

He is survived by his daughter Svea Cook (Ed), and two sons; Brett (Betsy) and Erik (Janet), sister Cindy Jamisson (Peter), seven grandchildren; Joshua, Sarah (Bryan), Kyle (Alisha), Jennifer, Stephanie, Emily and Edward, and three great-grandchildren; Devin, Sophia and Alyssa. He is pre-deceased by his parents and brother Kirk.

The family is planning private memorial services in both Houston and Syracuse for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masonic Care Community attn: Philanthropy Office 2150 Bleecker St, Utica NY 13501 in memory of Al Williams
