William R “Bill” Ward, March 15, 1963 – June 17, 2017. Bill passed away listening to “Three Little Birds” from pneumonia. He was a lung cancer survivor and an inspiration to the cancer patients and staff at the Zangmeister Center. He shared his positive attitude with all of the people he encountered along his cancer journey. Bill was a graduate of Westland High School, class of 1981, and was employed at Kimball Midwest, where he has many friends and was considered a valuable employee. He continued to work during his cancer treatments, he said it was a great place to work. Bill is survived by his son, William Zachary Ward; brother, Ronald Crum and his family, wife Linda, son Joshua and his children Bailey and Logan Crum; brother, Gary Ward and his mother, Linda Ward and family; ex-wife, Zach’s mom Linda Ward; and Bill’s childhood friend, Angela Thevenin Mason. Bill was an undisputed Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Indians, the Browns and the Cavaliers fan. He enjoyed watching the Columbus Blue Jackets and was true to his home state teams. Bill also loved Classic Rock, classic cars, NASCAR and cold beer. He will be missed by all that knew him and was loved unconditionally by his family. Rest in peace Bill Ward.
