Carol Langenfeld

Carol graduated from Eastmoor High School, attended Capital University and graduated from Miami University in 1975. Carol and her husband Douglas met at Sunday school in 1968. They were married on September 7,1974 at Brookwood Presbyterian Church.

Even though she faced many health challenges and scares for most of her life, Carol earned a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Dayton in 1995. Counseling was her calling. Carol was active in leadership roles as a Girl Scout and at Brookwood Presbyterian Church in Columbus. Carol loved to travel; she and Doug created many memories of times spent on Hilton Head Island, traveling the United States and Western Europe. She enjoyed bird watching, photography, reading and, in recent years, made dozens of quilts. She was blessed with many friends from various stages of her life and has been surrounded and supported by her church communities. Carol was blessed with two wonderful granddaughters.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Alice Louise (Lama) Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband Douglas. Son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Elisabeth Langenfeld, granddaughters: Josephine (Joey) and Ava Langenfeld, brother, Kenneth (Cristy) Jones as well as nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her Life will take place August 10, 2024 at 4 PM at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 7121 Muirfield Drive, Dublin Ohio.
