William J Whitley

William "Bill" Junior Whitley was born on wednesday February 17th, 1937 in North County N.C. to William Percy and Ethel May Whitley. He was raised in Coopers Township, Nash County N.C. He attended Coopers Elementary and High School grades 1-12. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1955 serving 3 years. Bill was a skilled mechanic and at one time owned a roadside repair company for autos and semis in Long Beach, California. This is where he met the love of his life Melodie. They were married May 8th, 1991 and spent 35 wonderful years together. His favorite things in life his wife Melodie, his many animals throughout his life, and working with his hands. Bill enjoyed the simple things in life. He is survived by his brother Bruce Whitley, sisters in law: Sheila and Pam Whitley. Nieces: Shannon,Stacie,Patricia,Tammy,Kylar. Nephews: Daniel,Jeffrey,Michael,Keith,Kris. The Zollins: Corey,Amber,Daven,Haylee,Jayden, and Jodi. Preceded in death by his wife Melodie, Sisters: Carolyn,Linda,and Doris. Brother Kenneth.
