Richard Lee McKenzie

Born and raised in Everett, he graduated from Cascade High School in 1966. After graduating Rich enlisted in the Army and a year later was sent to Vietnam where he was stationed in the Central Highlands with the 4th Infantry Division. During his year with the 4th Infantry he was given the assignment of Combat Correspondent.

His stories and associated pictures were published in the Army Times, Stars and Stripes Magazine.

After his hitch in the Army Rich spent 20 years with General Telephone Company while at same time earned his BA Degrees in Police Science and Sociology. Rich joined the Snohomish County Sheriff Reserves where he worked patrol and plain clothes duties for 18 years. Rich retired from GTE in 1989 after 20 years. In 1991 Rich joined the Boeing Company where he spent 20 years in Cyber and Computer Forensic Investigations.

In 2011 Rich retired and with his wife Kathy moved to Las Vegas Nevada.

Rich is preceded in death by his mother Luella, step father Alfred and his first born son Tim. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, sisters Adeline and Sharon. His brother Rob (Julie), Children son Cris (Jaime), son Dustin (Autumn), daughter Brandi. His granddaughter Taylor (John), (Great Grandson's Gavin and Luke), Grandson Killian (Emely), (Great Grandson Sebastian)

StepDaughter Emily Eggert (Kris) and their children Caitlyn and Kylie, and StepSon Andrew Marose.

Rich will be buried at Boulder City Veterans Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.
