

Kathleen Marjorie Lawrence, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on June 1, 1945, in Los Angeles County, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Sakarias and Dorothy Lere. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John, and is now lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 31 years, Gary Lawrence, her three children, Scott Parkin (Aimee), Kristi Thomas (Steve), and Krystle Pollack (Tim), and her five precious grandchildren, Kile, Jocelyn, Myles, Malcolm, and Scarlett.
Kathleen married the love of her life, Gary Lawrence, on December 16, 1994. Together, they built a family filled with love, joy, and countless cherished memories. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life, and she found immense happiness in nurturing and supporting each of them.
Professionally, Kathleen dedicated many years as an office manager at the Madera County Assessor's Office, where her warmth and professionalism left a lasting impression on colleagues and community members alike. Beyond her career, she was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she found a deep sense of community and faith.
Kathleen was an avid quilter, a passion she pursued with joy and creativity. She especially loved attending the annual quilting retreats at Bass Lake, where she and her friends would gather to share stories and create beautiful quilts. Her grandchildren were fortunate recipients of her quilting artistry, as she delighted in crafting each quilt precisely to their wishes, wrapping them in her love.
Despite facing significant health challenges, Kathleen possessed an unwavering spirit and an immense capacity for empathy. She had a unique ability to focus on the lives and experiences of those around her, making each interaction feel special and meaningful. Her strength and grace were an inspiration to all who knew her.
A memorial service to honor Kathleen's life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 7500 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89131
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who brought joy and companionship to Kathleen's life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Kathleen's memory to a charity of your choice.
Kathleen was truly one of a kind. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
