Born on December 20, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, Jim lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his strength of character, his devotion to those he loved, and the positive impact he had on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; his children, Kelly, Kimberly Shae, Tracy, and James; and his cherished grandchildren, Sydne, Chase, Jonathan, Yazmeen, Blake, ReyAnn, and Keeghan.
A proud American, James honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a devoted animal lover who always had a faithful dog by his side, especially his beloved Bonnie Blue. He found great joy in spending time with his family, whom he treasured above all else. When he wasn't with loved ones, you could often find him meticulously cleaning and maintaining his beloved Ford truck. Jim took great pride in the life he built and loved sharing the incredible stories of his experiences—stories filled with strength, perseverance, humor, and love that will be remembered by those fortunate enough to hear them.
Jim's legacy is one of service, resilience, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.
Though James Miller Sr. is no longer with us, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. We love you.
