Jackie Ann Baughman

Jackie Ann Baughman (Hatchett) grew up in Long Beach, California, with her parents, Val and Everett, and her sisters, Janet and Marsha. Jackie is survived by her daughters, Eileen and Lydia Ruiz; her sister, Janet Maxwell; her grandson, Antoine Ruiz; and her great-grandsons, Cash, Rome, and Amari Ruiz.

Jackie was a woman of fire and heart. She was feisty, loving, and unapologetically herself. She wore her emotions openly, fought fiercely for what she believed in, and lived life with humor and grit.

In lieu of flowers or a traditional service, we welcome donations to the organizations Jackie held dear. The American Cancer Society supported her through her breast cancer journey; PBS delighted her with every historical series; and the Obama Foundation—she was, proudly, one of President Obama’s earliest and most devoted fans.
