Debra Sue McKillop

Born on October 8, 1957, Debra lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and friendship. Even as ALS gradually took away her physical mobility, it never diminished her vibrant spirit, remarkable memory, quick wit, or deep love for family and friends.

Debra was known for her kindness, resilience, and her ability to make friends wherever she went. She had a gift for storytelling and loved sharing memories of her life, often recalling events and details from as far back as kindergarten. Family and friends cherished listening to her stories, which reflected a life rich with experiences and treasured moments.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Neil McKillop; her sister, Judy McDugald; her niece, Melissa Mamiya; her stepchildren, Bruce McKillop and his wife Doreen, Leslie Dye and her husband Chris, and Darryl McKillop and his wife Aimy; her sister-in-law, Barbara McKindley; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and a nephew. She also leaves behind many dear friends and former coworkers who became like family throughout her life.

Debra was preceded in death by her brothers: John, Thomas, Lawrence, Michael, Robert, and Dennis McLean.

Throughout her career, Debra took great pride in her work. She especially enjoyed her time as a Tour Guide at Universal Studios, where her warmth and enthusiasm helped create memorable experiences for visitors from around the world. She also enjoyed working at Albertsons, where she formed many lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.

Debra embraced life and its simple pleasures. She loved taking cruises, going to shows, watching classic movies, listening to music, and never missed an opportunity to watch Jeopardy!. She enjoyed cooking and took great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. She also enjoyed playing video poker and slot machines and was always ready for a little fun and adventure.

A devoted animal lover, Debra had a special place in her heart for cats. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Ollie, who brought her comfort, companionship, and unconditional love.

Debra's legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, friendship, generosity, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
