Steve Gould passed away on May 4, 2026. Steve was born in Portland and grew up with his two younger brothers (Tom & Mike) hunting and fishing and graduated from Oregon City HS in 1968. He worked in the medical device field achieving his goal of becoming CEO/President of a local Oregon business.
His height and firm handshake could leave an intimidating first impression, which was quickly erased by his warmth and appreciation of humor. He disliked lutefisk, shoveling snow, and delighted in Monty Python, chocolate ice cream, and golfing with his buddies.
Steve Gould; always diplomatic. Strict keeper of time and who would announce “five minutes” loudly throughout the household. Excellent with directions and expert map navigator (pre-GPS), ideal soccer dad (voted in and served as President of Oregon Youth Soccer Association for several years), early adopter of the newest technologies and a devoted family man.
Golf became his retirement hobby and social life when he lived in Eagle Crest in Redmond. He was patient, consistent, and reliable. All necessary traits to be a quality golfer but more importantly for being a son, husband, father and a role model to others.
Famously known by his family for quotes such as “good night nurse”, “oofta”, and “what a goat rodeo”.
His pride and joy were his daughters, Courtney and Shelby. He taught them the importance of family, independence, kindness and respect.
He loved nothing more than his wife and soulmate, Dianna, who held his hand and made him smile till the end.
He will always be remembered and loved by his daughters, son-in-laws, four grandchildren, brothers and many more family and friends.
