Robert William Poppy

Robert was born in Sheboygan, WI on August 24,1970 to Constance B Poppy and Roger W Poppy. He grew up in Sheboygan and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from South High School in Sheboygan He attended UW Wisconsin and Lakeland College and graduated from Lakeland College with a degree in Psychology. Robert moved to Oregon and lived there until his death.

While working on a Master’s degree in Psychology online through Divine Mercy University in Kentucky, Robert was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiform on August 21,2020. With the help of his doctors and treatments and through many trials and tribulations, Robert managed to finish his Masters in May, 2023. Great thanks go his advisors and teachers at Divine Mercy for their continued support and encouragement, especially Michele Drennen and Father Schu, and to his treatment team at Compass Oncology Portland.

Robert is survived by his mother, Constance Poppy, his Sister Lynne(Jim) Sheppard, his nephew Ty Sheppard , his Uncle Harry (Chris) Kolasa, for whom he felt great affection and other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
