Robert Eugene Korth, 83, of Central Point, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home, with his family surrounding him, on Monday, April 21, 2025, from Esophageal Cancer. Bob was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, in 1942 by Mary and Eugene Korth.
He was an avid bowler from a very young age. He installed carpet for a living for over 45 years. Bob was a devoted and loving father to his three children: Amy, Anthony, and Adam, who dearly miss him.
Bob took great pride in bowling, especially watching his children and grandchildren take up the sport. He began bowling at 11 years old and continued until his illness prevented him from going on. He was the first person on record to average 200 over a full season in two different leagues with both his right and left hands in 1983. During his bowling career, he belonged to the PBA, ABC, SOBA, and many other associations. He bowled both professionally and as an amateur. He won and placed in numerous tournaments. Bowling was his passion.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Eugene “Korky” Korth, his mother Mary Korth, and his wife of 43 years, Teresa Grigsby Korth. He is survived by his life partner Margaret Clark-Mayfield, his sister Kathy Wolfe, his daughter Amy Feagan, his sons Anthony Korth, and Adam Korth, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Britt Festival grounds in Jacksonville, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the Southern Oregon Humane Society or the American Cancer Association.
