Bob was born in Hodge, Louisiana on July 14, 1942. He received a bachelor's degree and MBA from Louisiana State University, where he also met Billie Ezell, whom he married on June 4, 1963. They celebrated 55 years of marriage earlier this year.
Bob's career spanned multiple companies and continents. His primary discipline was personnel and human resources, and he began working for Texas Eastern Gas Transmission in Houston, Texas after receiving his MBA. He soon moved to the Frito-Lay company in Dallas, Texas and climbed through ranks at multiple Pepsico-owned companies, culminating in a Vice Presidency of Personnel at Taco Bell in Irvine, California.
Bob left Pepsico in 1982 and began a career in executive compensation consulting that would take him and Billie to Los Angeles, Singapore and Tokyo, where he managed teams who crafted compensation, stock and human resources plans for some of the largest companies in the Pacific Rim. He and Billie moved to Portland, Oregon in 2001, where he retired. They continued to travel the world with family and friends for many years.
Bob is survived by his wife Billie; his brother, Skip; his sister, Virginia Ann Chase; his son, Brent; his daughter, Catherine Pellegrin, and three lovely grandchildren: Sydney, Julia and Max.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Oswego Hills Winery on October 7, 2018 from 2-5pm.
The family wishes to thank all the friends, coworkers, healthcare providers and caregivers that have provided support and care during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's name to Parkinson's research charities or organizations.
