Last year we decided to climb Mt Adams in WA.  She climbed 44,000 ft  just last summer to prep for it.  She reached for the sky.
I could say many good things about Molly but one thing stood out.
She kicked ...........!  I miss her.

Just like Molly she had no problems scrambling through thickets off trail.  She was good at so many things.  Her glass work. Being in first or second place in most of her athletic sports. Which were many. She was friendly to all.  She had a strong drive and enthusiastic spirit.  Hiking was no different.

My name is Perry, a vendor, and I knew Molly from Saturday Market. We only knew each were friends for about four years but we were best hiking buddies.  After she constantly beat me at disk golf, I invited her more on hiking treks.

My name is Perry and I had worked with Molly at Portland Saturday Market.  I only hung out with Molly for about the last five years but I think it is safe to say we were best buds.  I could say so many great things about Molly but one characteristic stood out.  She kicked ass!!!
Her glass work was amazing, her athletic ability was top notch, she was in first or second place in the many sports she played and her fun loving easy going personality was always there.  I really enjoyed playing disc golf with her even though she beat me every time.
We scrambled off trial through rough thickets, climbed up desert gullies, crawled through caves and climbed Mt Adams last year.  The cover photo is her up top of Mt Adams, almost 13,000 ft.  To prepare for it she had climbed 44,000 in one summer!  Her legs made some of the climb but the rest was all her strong will and enthusiastic spirit.  She was like a little kid out there.  I really miss her.  I'm so thankful that her family will give me some of her ashes to scatter into Tunnel Falls which is along the Eagle Creek Trial.  Her second favorite place.  She went many times by herself and would do 14 miles each time.                                                                                 She burned so bright up until the end of her beautiful, adventurous life.  What better way for her to live before her time had come.  Even though we feel it was too early, she lived her life to the fullest.
We love you Molly!!!

Oh Molly you are such a bright light!  Here you are, somewhere around 2000?? visiting me in the far-off land of Bamfield with the amazing Dan Kahn.  Thanks so much for the work on the coop.  And the tour of your shop in Stumptown.  Rest in beauty.  Sad I can’t make your celebration of life - there will be some great people there I am sure.

One of the most amazing and memorable athletes I've ever had the privilege of playing alongside and being a teammate with. We met in the mid 80s and played on the first founding women's ultimate team in Portland, which we called Twister. She was a beacon of light and compassion...and an icon of body control, strength, and skill. She will be missed by so many. I'm shaken and sorry to hear this sad news. Deepest sympathy to Molly's family and all the Ultimate community who loved her.

When I was new to the women's ultimate scene, Molly was warm, light-hearted, fiesty and a hoot. After my first practice or two, Molly and crew reassured me that I should join them at Produce Row for a pint, which I did, and started my experience with the community of ultimate both on and off the field. She typically wore a well-loved visor and a smile on her face. Her short stature didn't impede her at all. She could juke (to get open) and pull with the best of them. She enjoyed go-with-the-flow and good-spirited ultimate over regimented play and long strategy sessions. If you ran deep, you could always count on a big backhand huck from Molly. Thanks for all the fun memories!

Molly and I went to high school together and played softball for Barlow.  I honestly …  cannot believe she’s left us at 59.  When I think of Molly, I think of her long blond hair, her smile, and her small, athletic frame.  She was a great team-mate that aIways gave 110%.  She made a huge impression on me and I will not forget her and how she STILL makes me smile.  Rest in Peace Molly ♥️

Molly has always been a source of artistic inspiration for me. I will miss her so very much and am profoundly saddened by her departure. I hope she has found peace. I will think of her every time I blow glass.
