Age 88, of Dallas, Oregon, passed away on March 9, 2025.
Maxine was born on November 13, 1936, and lived a full and loving life surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Sinclair Cullen, in 1997, and her second husband, Gordon Thompson, in 2022. Maxine was also preceded in death by her son, Stuart, and her stepson, Daniel.
Maxine was a devoted mother to seven children, four of whom were stepchildren. She lovingly raised her children, with four of them living with their mother, Sinclair’s first wife. Maxine’s nurturing spirit and dedication to her family left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
After retiring to Greenville, California, in 1985, Micki became deeply involved in the Eastern Star. She dedicated herself to the organization, eventually rising to the level of District Grand Matron for District 4. Her leadership and service to Eastern Star were a significant part of her life in her later years, and she made many lifelong friends through her involvement.
In addition to her dedication to her family and community, Maxine enjoyed a variety of activities, including camping, bowling, ceramics, and participating in both Women’s and Co-Ed Softball leagues. These hobbies brought her great joy and allowed her to stay active and engaged with friends and family.
Maxine is survived by 2 of her children, Bryan and Kevin; and three of her stepchildren, Mike, Nathan, and Ruth; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
Maxine will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
