Joseph has gone to be with Mary. Joseph was born in Willimantic, Connecticut to Sylvère Aquila Morissette and Marie-Cecile (Marsan) Morissette. He lived a large portion of his life in Lockport, NY, where he raised his children. After 34 years working for NYSEG, he retired and together with his wife moved to the Portland, OR area to be with family. Joe loved many sports and was involved with Little Loop Football while he lived in Lockport. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He served honorably in the US Army.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 67 years, brothers Raymond and Vincent, and his son Michael. He is survived by his brother, Norman Morrissette. He is survived by his children Alain, Carleen and Paul Neisnack, and Matthew Morrissette. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Dana (Neisnack) and Daniel May with their two children Calvin and Harper, Germaine Morrissette with her son Hunter Running, and Matt’s children, Emily and William. In addition, he leaves many dear cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. He also leaves a legacy for how one overcomes one’s tribulations and flaws.
