Erna Marilynn Hansen

Erna (Lynn) Marilynn Staehle Hansen was born in North Brook, Illinois on May 21, 1923. Lynn passed away on April 20, 2023, one month before her 100th birthday, at her foster care facility in the Cedar Hills neighborhood. As a small girl, her family moved to Seattle and the to a farm west of Portland. She graduated in 1941 from Beaverton High School where she was active in many clubs.

In 1951 she married Harry Rolf Hansen, her husband of 63 years. The lived in Seattle, Las Vegas, and finally returned to Portland in 1977. Most of Lynn's working years were spent as a bookkeeper/secretary and homemaker. Lynn and Harry loved to dance, and were active in the Beaverton Elks, as well as Shriners and Masons, plus some other civic clubs.

Lynn always had blooming flowers in her yard and opened her home to neighbors, many of whom remained friends for like.

At her request there will be no funeral, with disposition by cremation. Lynn was proceeded in death by her parents, Ernest Staehle and Amanda Thies, her husband Harry, and her brothers John and Fred. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a brief memorial and inurnment at Willamette National Cemetery May 15, 2023 at 1:45pm.
