My husband Dan (who's taking the picture) and I would walk our dogs, Daisy and Daphne every day and would pass by Cheryl's house every time. We would run into her and Riley #1 occasionally and walk together on the last leg of our walk. We would chat about all kinds of things, family, our dogs, but mostly politics (Dan and Cheryl would mostly). As our dogs passed away, we wouldn't see Cheryl as often. I would call her and catchup on what's going on. She would tell me about her medical issues going on and I would exchange a few of my own. Mine not as severe as hers but we would talk for awhile.  The last time I did speak with her, she dd mention that the cancer was back. I was super sad to hear this and hoped for the best outcome for her. I think about Cheryl often and look over at her house every time I drive by and wonder how shes doing. Today I learned about the sad news. I am truly sad and sad for her little Riley #2. I hope Riley is in good hands and being taken care of just like Cheryl did. I'm sure he's very upset, sad, confused and wondering where his mommy is. To everyone that knew Cheryl, she was a sweet woman, loved her dogs and she will be missed. <3 Dan & Dawn Pina
