Dear Gerald and Gretchen,  

We would like to offer our sympathy to you in the loss of your mother.   She and I had chances for conversation during our regular trips to see Richard Grainger in Salem and became good friends.    She was always so appreciative of the music at First United Methodist Church -- organ and choral -- while Karen and I were a musical team there for many years.

May the angels come to welcome her into the Lord's kingdom.
