Vivian Jane Maneke

Vivian Jane Maneke, 87, of Lakeview, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 11, 2025, at her home in Lakeview surrounded by family. She was born on January 16, 1938, in Columbus, Ohio to Frank and Dorothea Fisher.

Vivian worked as a nurse for 30+ years, she and her husband owned and operated a party store (Krystals Market) in Midland for several years, she worked for Kerr, Parkhurst, Bromell law firm in Mt. Pleasant for 4 years before retiring. Then she opened VJ’S Material -N- More in downtown Lakeview for 5 years.

After moving to Lakeview in 2000 Vivian was a member of Sylvester Community Church for 18 years, and 6 years with Deerfield Bible Church.

In Vivian’s spare time she loved to spend time with family, travel, and paint. She created many beautiful paintings.

Vivian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl A. Maneke, both of her parents, her brother Ben Fisher, and her sister in-law Doris I. Maneke.

She is survived by her daughter, Anita G. Maneke of Lakeview. Grandchildren, Jessica Krotzer of Midland, James Palmer Jr, of Chippewa Lake, Heather (Andrew) Hissong of Lakeview.

Great Grandchildren, Isaac, Savannah, Abel, (Fast) Zachary, and Andrew Jr. (Hissong) of Lakeview, Kahlen, Addyson, and Aiden Palmer of Big Rapids. A niece, Melissa Monge of Zephyrhills, FL. And 2 great grandchildren on the way.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday April 5, 2025 at Sylvester Community Church (4954 Spruce St. Mecosta, Mi 49332) Visitation will start at 10am, Service at 11am and a luncheon to follow.
