As we remember her, I am comforted by the warmth and kindness each of you brings in remembrance of her remarkable life.
Rose Ann Rice graced this world for 75 beautiful years. Born into a life that she filled with love and purpose, she devoted herself to those around her with an unwavering commitment. For the past 49 years, I had the immense privilege of calling her my mother, and she was nothing short of my hero. Mom was a rockstar in every sense—a beacon of strength, love, and compassion, who taught me the true essence of kindness and empathy.
Mom's life was a testament to the power of giving. Her greatest achievements were not measured by accolades or titles but by the lives she touched. She had an extraordinary ability to do anything for anyone, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her heart was a sanctuary for all who knew her, and she was the glue that held everything and everyone together.
One of my fondest memories of Mom is how she could light up a room with her smile and laughter. Her joy was infectious, her presence a source of comfort and warmth. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel happy and whole, ensuring that no one was ever left wanting. Her caring nature extended beyond family, reaching friends and strangers alike, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
Mom embodied kindness, strength, and care in every aspect of her life. Her legacy is one of love and unwavering support, a testament to her incredible spirit. We will miss her dearly—her laughter, her guidance, and most of all, her love. But as we continue on, we carry with us the lessons she imparted and the love she so freely gave.
In the quiet moments of reflection, let us find comfort in the memories we shared with Rose Ann. Though we feel the weight of our loss today, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the enduring impact she has left on each of us. Her memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration, guiding us to live with the same kindness and compassion she exemplified.
As we close this chapter, I leave you with a reflection that captures the essence of my mother: "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." Rose Ann Rice lives on in our hearts and in the love we continue to share. May we find peace in her memory and gratitude for the time we had with her.
