Roger Cooper

Roger L. Cooper age 82, passed away peacefully at home, on March 17, 2023, in the loving arms of his wife of 58 years, Patricia R. (Gillis) Cooper. Roger was born on January 30, 1941 to Reed and Reta Cooper of Alto, MI.

He was preceded in death by his son, James P. Cooper; parents, and his in-laws, Ray and Edith Gillis of Kentwood, MI. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two daughters, Shelley (Tim) Tarchinski and Vicki (Bob) Duthler; four granddaughters, Megan (Mike) Jones, Whitney (Drew) Coverstone, Lindsey (Brett) Kraal and Rachael Walski; three great-grandchildren, Aiden Hoffman, Bobby and Allie Jones; plus two step great-grandchildren, Calley and Case Kraal.

Rog was an avid fisherman and loved working with wood, from cutting trees to creating many things in his wood shop.

Following his wishes, he has been cremated. He desired no service, but a gathering of families and friends to celebrate his life at a later time.
