Robert Franklin Heintzelman Jr., born March 30, 1955, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026 at his home in Cedar Springs, Michigan surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Heintzelman as well as brother Mike Heintzelman. Robert is survived by and will be remembered by his children, Bobby (Renee) Heintzelman, Hannah (Michael), Jenna (Justin) Thiede, Josh (Nathan) Hill, and Lisa; his grandchildren, Landon, Carmen, and Brynleigh; brother Mark (Mary) Heintzelman, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A devoted Protestant Christian, Robert's faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He found great comfort in Scripture and spent countless hours reading his Bible alongside the teachings of Pastor John MacArthur though Bible and videos.
Of all his accomplishments, Robert was most proud of his children. He raised five children including a set of quadruplets and passed on the values that defined his life: love, compassion, integrity, perseverance, hard work, faith, and strength. His influence can be seen in each of his children who carry those qualities forward.
Robert will also be remembered as the ultimate Michigan Wolverines fan. For him, Saturdays in the fall meant Michigan football and no game-day was complete without a heartfelt “Let’s Go Blue” during kick off. His enthusiasm was impossible to miss. If you didn't lose your voice cheering alongside him, you simply weren't cheering loud enough. Robert was also an avid listener of John Denver, whose music often accompanied him on his favorite drives. He loved traveling north to Mackinaw and exploring the beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, finding peace in the open road, the changing seasons, and the scenery he cherished so much.
Above all else, Robert was a father who loved his children deeply. Through his life, he taught the importance of faith, hard work, resilience, compassion, and putting family first. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him most.
Honoring Robert's wishes, cremation will take place. To send a message of sympathy to the family, sign Robert's online guest book, or share a favorite memory, please visit: NeptuneSociety.com.
