

She was 86.
Her final days were spent in peace at Kairos Dwelling. Margaret was born in Mishawaka Indiana to Maryjane (Bohren) and Harry Dennis Berry.
She graduated from Elkhart High School and later on attended Bible College at Pinecrest Bible Training Center in Salisbury Center, NY.
She held a position of responsibility as a night telephone operator at GTE (later Verizon) for many years.
She was an avid reader of many genres and student of the Bible.
She was a masterful knitter, both hand and machine and created many patterns as well as sweaters, socks, mittens, hats and gloves. She enjoyed gardening and was responsible for many vegetables, beautiful flowers and unique growing methods over the years.
Margaret was preceded in death by her Grandmother Mildred Pearl Macintosh, her stepfather Charles Landrie, mother Jane Landrie, son Patrick Barton, husband Thomas Barton, Mother-in-law Loretta Barton and son-in-law Todd Zimmerman.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Barton, her brother Dennis Allen (Buzz) Berry of Elkhart, Indiana; her beloved nieces, and nephews and many good, beloved and special friends old and new.
Margaret supported many charities, including several Indian reservations and multiple animal rescue groups.
She also appreciated the love and care received at Kairos Dwelling.
