On Sunday morning, March 2, 2025, Lindsey Hinojosa passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her journey on this earth, marked by both resilience and grace, has come to an end, freeing her from the pain she endured throughout her life, most recently in her courageous battle with cancer.
Lindsey will be remembered for her kindness, her genuine compliments, and her unwavering ability to see the good in others. She put the needs of those around her before her own and never allowed her disabilities to stand in the way of building and maintaining meaningful friendships. She found joy in reading and singing and was a proud member of the Grand Haven High School choir. After graduating, she worked in food service throughout Grand Haven and later found fulfillment working at Home Depot. In recent years, as her mobility declined, Lindsey resided at SKLD-Leonard Nursing Facility in Grand Rapids, where she continued to touch lives and form cherished friendships. She enjoyed reading, coloring, and latch-hook pillows. Lindsey loved sharing her talents with everyone she came into contact with.
She will be deeply missed by her loving parents Dan and Cindy Kleymeer of Grand Haven; brother, Casey Kleymeer and his fiancée, Josie Jenkins; and their sons August and Keith. Lindsey’s special friend, Nick VanZanten, shares in the grief of her passing; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know her.
Lindsey’s strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever be an inspiration to those who knew and loved her.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided Lindsey with compassionate care throughout her life, including the dedicated staff at SKLD-Leonard and the exceptional team at Gentiva Hospice.
