

Linda K. Merchant Masten, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. She was joined in death by her daughter, Talisa Lynn Merchant, on the same day, however in separate cities . Linda’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, James Alfred Kastor; children, Thomas Alvin Durga (Channon) and Daisy Renee Masten; Step-daughter, Jasmin (Dan)Wisneski; sisters, Susan M. King (Curt) and Sharon L. Beebe; and her brother, Steven Wayne Merchant. She is also lovingly remembered by her 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Faye (Bradley) Merchant; her sister, Karen Gail Merchant; her brothers, David James Merchant and Raymond Harrison Merchant; her nephew, Raymond Edward Merchant; and her great-grandchild, Everly Dawn Moll.
Linda grew up in a family that moved often, but through those experiences she learned and carried strong family values throughout her life. She enjoyed horseback riding, playing games, and spending time with family and friends—especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She loved sharing stories about them and celebrating their lives. Linda also generously opened her home for many family gatherings, helping create memories and strengthen bonds that will be cherished forever.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered always.
