Leroy Douglas Britton

Leroy worked for 30 years at Oldberg Manufacturing, before working and retiring from Consumers Power Company after 30 years of service. He was a faithful attender of Ottawa Center Chapel. His favorite hymns were ~ Through It All and How Great Thou Art. His favorite scripture was John 14:6. His favorite ministry was The Bible Club through Coopersville school. Throughout his life he enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, farming, hunting, and his Harley. Also his loving dogs Killer and Buddy.

He was reunited with his parents and grandchildren, Carrie Ann Gardner and Keith Douglas Gardner in Heaven. Surviving are his beloved wife of 66 years, Peggy (Snyder); children, Sonia (Dale Palmer) Britton, Sandy (Lance) Gragg, Sherry (Andy Szot) McAlpine, and Shelly Jones; six grandchildren, Tanya, Pj, Shannon, Courtney, Seth and Bryan; ten great grandchildren; and dear friend, Henry Rouiller.

Visitation is from 11:00 -12:00 PM on May 10th, at Ottawa Center Chapel, 8991 Leonard St, Coopersville, 49404. Celebration of life is to follow with a luncheon after.
