Kay Ann Smith

Kay Ann Smith, 70, of Lansing, MI passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Kay was born in Flint, MI on April 4, 1954. She is survived by her daughters Courtney Smith (Chris Beeman) of Lansing, MI and Whitney Levine (Tali Levine) of Boston,MA, and nephew Benjamin Hilke (Hayden and sons Dean and Noah Hilke) of Jackson Hole, WY. She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Dorothy Woods, sister JoAnn Hilke, brother-in-law Dean Hilke, and brothers Richard and Robert Woods. Kay was a very skilled and caring medical assistant that dedicated her career to taking care of women, infants, and children, and helping low-income families access healthcare. She was a loving mother, a wonderful baker, a shy but lovely artist, and deeply cared for many adopted dogs and cats throughout her life. She will be deeply missed, talked to often, and carried with by all that knew her everyday. Donations can be made in her name to the Capital Area Humane Society of Michigan.
