Irene Jane Shunsky

Born on March 22, 1944 in Detroit Michigan, Irene lived a full life marked by kindness, faith and devotion to her family. She was a domestic engineer and worked as a greeter at Meijer in Grand Ledge MI for 13 years.

Irene was a loving wife, mother, oma and friend over the years. She enjoyed cross stitching, having lunch and shopping with her sisters, golfing, reading, coffee and ice cream as well as spending time with her three grandchildren. She spent her life looking to bring happiness often saying, “Are we having fun yet?” She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vince Shunsky; her favorite son, Tim and daughter, Katy; daughter in-law, Stephanie; and three grandchildren, Alexis, Liliana and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Maria Wunsche; brothers, Fritz, Bob; and sister, Kathy Klassen.

Memorial services will be Saturday, October 24th at Highland Congregational Church details to follow.
