David Patrick Shanley

Dave worked in commercial construction and logistics for several years and was a member of Chapel Pointe Church. In his younger years, Dave enjoyed playing hockey and softball, and more recently was active in his senior bowling league at Park Lanes in Wyoming. He loved rooting for U of M Football and the Detroit Lions.

Dave's life was marked by a deep love for his family and his Lord. Through many of life's ups and downs, he consistently aspired to be a faithful servant of his Heavenly Father, a loving husband and father, and a loyal friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jean Shanley; and brother, Rick Shanley. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Laura Shanley; children, Erika (Adam) Lynds, David (Sarah) Shanley, and Daniel (Hannah) Shanley; and grandchildren, Addison, Asher, Olivia, and Josiah Lynds, and Noah and Jonah Shanley.

Visitation is from 11:00am-12:00pm on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Chapel Pointe Byron Center, 6252 Burlingame Ave SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. A Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00pm.
