Daniel L Maurer

Daniel L Maurer Sr., 71, of Burlington , MI, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Daniel was born on September 16,1953 in Battle Creek, MI. He was a graduate of Harper Creek Schools.

Dan was an EMT and volunteer firefighter for Newton twp. prior to retirement. He had been previously employed at Sherman’s , Evergreen Manor and Calhoun county medical facility. He loved spending time with his family and church family at Harper Creek Baptist church. Dan was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Connie McCleary Maurer; father, Jack O. Maurer; son, Daniel L Maurer Jr.; and uncle, Jack Willbur. He is survived by his mother, Shirley A. Maurer; brother, Jeffrey (Kate) Maurer; daughters, Cheri (Wade) Cassens Cuff, and Teri Leggitt; daughter-in-law, Melita Barrios Maurer; grandchildren, Kristen (David) Heckman, Luke Cuff, Kelsi (Seth) Leggitt and Logan Cuff; great granddaughter, Ellie Heckman; and his good dog Lucy.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th at 2pm. At Harper Creek Baptist Church, 13222 Bradley Lake Rd Battle Creek, MI. Light luncheon to follow. Private interment at a later date.
