

Benjamin Leon Woodhams, 74, of Allegan, MI passed away on November 25, 2025 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Born August 8, 1951 in Allegan, who then later moved to the farm in Chicora, Michigan He was the son of the late Carlton and Ann Woodhams and was the husband of Susie (Weaver) Woodhams. Ben had worked for the Allegan County Road Commission for thirty-four years before retiring, he also served on the Trowbridge Township Board. He was an avid sports fan, a Michigan State University graduate, and enjoyed being outdoors. Most of all, though, Ben loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren and he will be dearly missed.
In addition to Susie, his wife of thirty-eight years, Ben is survived by his children, Jennifer (Mark) Haveman, Becky (Corey) Johnson, Kelly (Nick) Short Bosk, Brandy (Will) Salters, sister, Carleen (Woodhams) French; sister-in-law, Capie Woodhams; brother, Bill (Lou Anne) Woodhams, twenty-two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Ann Woodhams, brother, Ken Woodhams, son, Justin Woodhams, in-laws, Paula (Nate) West, and many aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Ben will be laid to rest in Blackman Cemetery in Allegan.
Memorial donations can be made to Camp Kidwell in Alllegan.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
