Allan Leroy Adair, age 90, of Jackson, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital surrounded by his loving family. The son of Thomas and Mildred Adair, he was born on May 20, 1936, in Akron, OH, the family moved to Jackson, Michigan in 1938.
A proud US Navy Veteran, Al served active duty in the Navy from 1954-1958 and was awarded his honorable discharge in 1962 after reserve duty had been fulfilled. Al enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, maintaining their beautiful flower beds and golf. After his retirement, he walked several miles a day, many knew him as the man with the rubber duckie on his walking stick.
Al met Donna at his Uncle Jim's house playing spoons in 1957 while home on leave, he was 'twitterpated'! They married on June 25, 1960, and by April 1964, added 4 children to their happy home. He loved wrestling and playing with his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Al was a true family man and loved all of his family. To know him was to love him; he had a contagious smile, once you met him, you were no longer a stranger. No matter where he went, he bantered and teased and brought a smile to your face. He will truly be missed beyond measure.
