Winnie Ravnholdt, 82, of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8th. Winnie was a beloved member of the community, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
Born and raised in Eden Prairie, Winnie and her sisters grew up on a farm and shared a love for horses. In her professional life, Winnie had an enormous impact on the thousands of students she worked with at Wayzata Schools. Her warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Her energy and kindness were contagious.
Winnie had a passion for fishing and spent countless hours on the boat with friends and family. In her free time, she could usually be found at Dairy Queen, Lions Tap, or the local nail salon.
Winnie is survived by her husband, Rickey; sisters, Mickey, Terry (Gerry) Berens and Patsy; sons, Erik (Tanya) and Marc (Jenny); grandchildren, Chase (Abby), Sam (Austin) Rush, Reid (Stephanie), and Ruby; and great-granddaughter, Penelope Rush, who will forever cherish her memory. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We would like to thank her caregivers at Heritage of Edina and the hospice team at Allina Health for the tireless work they put in to helping Winnie when she needed it most. As mom would say, “Bless their hearts”.
A time to celebrate and reflect on Winnie’s life will be scheduled for early summer, all are welcome.
Rest in peace, Winnie. Your legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you.
