William Sidney Bounds

William Sidney Bounds, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, December 1st, 2025 at the age of 83. He was born on October 18th, 1942 in St. Paul, Minnesota at Fort Snelling.

Bill served in the US Army as a Green Beret from 1962 to 1968. He spent many years working for Honeywell and the 40 plus years as a self-employed window and door restoration expert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Agnes; brother, Ronald; and son-in-law, Jay.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Julie; sons, Steve (Angie), Todd (Jamie), and Mike (Hanna); daughter, Dana (Charlie) Garrett; and grandchildren, Chyna, Toni, Sienna, Justen, Jordan, Jadyn, Taylor, Kaylee, Jake, Nolan, Trevor, Chase, and Maddy; sister, Sandy Callihan; and sister-in-law, Sandy Bounds.

The family would like to thank the Minneapolis Veterans Home for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Minneapolis Veterans Home, 5101 Minnehaha Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55417 on Friday, December 5th at 9am. A reception with the family will follow the service.

Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, date to be determined.
