Wendi Ann Johnson

1965-2019

Wendi Johnson, 53 of Faribault, MN passed away May 1st, 2019. Wendi was born August 9th 1965 in Beaufort South Carolina at the Parris Island Marine Corps Base to Richard Green and Sally (Peterson) Green. Wendi spent most of her childhood in the Golden Valley / Plymouth MN area and graduated from Armstrong High School in 1983. Wendi loved music; she felt it was a gift from God. Not one day would go by without Wendi talking about a song or a concert that was on TV. Her greatest love was always her Son Ben, they just spent a weekend in February reconnecting and attending a John Mellencamp concert, this was Wendi’s favorite musician. The memories made for both of them were priceless. Wendi also loved to cook and care for her two cats. She was a collector of snowmen and loved to have them displayed at Christmas time. Wendi’s nick name was “Goob” earned by being as small as a goober peanut when she was born.

Wendi is survived by her Son, Ben Jones of Spring Lake Park MN; father Richard Green (wife Brenda) of Marietta GA; mother Sally Green of Stillwater MN; sisters Dawn Blando (Troy) of Plymouth MN; Shannon Luchsinger of Stillwater MN; half sister, Karen Green of Dallas GA, brother Shawn Green (Jody) of Golden Valley MN, and half brother, Mike Green (Shelley) of Dallas GA, along with nieces; Amanda (Blando) Schoen, Brandy Blando, Mallory Seifert, Kristina Green, Molly Evans, Jordan Green, Makenzie Green, and Nephews, Patrick Seifert, Nick Green, Jeff Blando, Justin Blando, Noah Luchsinger, and Luke Evans and many aunts and uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 PM on Thursday May 9th, 2019 at Oak Ridge Place, 6060 Oxboro Ave. N. Stillwater, MN 55082. Donations are welcome.
