Virginia Dale Stensrud

Virginia Dale Stensrud (Johnson), passed away at home surrounded by her family in Grand Rapids, MN on April 30, at the age of 85. Preceded by mother and step father, Dale & Wilbert Baldus, sister Sharon, Brother Tom, step brother Charles and step sister Annamarie. She is survived by her loving husband of over 65 years, Richard Milo Stensrud. Daughter Desiree Dale Littlefield (Terry), Son MikKael Milo Stensrud (Paige), sister Kimber Lee Baldus, grandchildren, Joshua (Mary), Jacob, Jordan, Travis and Shannon (Richard) and great grandchildren Colton & Connor. She was born in Austin, MN on April 18, 1939. She grew up and went to school in Austin as well. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Mayo Clinic, as well as a waitress, selling houses, driving bus and as an executive assistant at Kavouras Inc. She also volunteered for a suicide prevention line and for Arm Full of Love for many years. Ginny touched so many lives. She was a beautiful, vibrant, wise and loving person. She made friends easily. She enjoyed golf, traveling, canoeing, camping, singing, puzzles, playing mahjong (or any game for that matter). But most of all she enjoyed family.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 10th from 11:00am-1:00pm and funeral from 1:00pm-2:00pm all at Grace Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, 7800 150th St W. Apple Valley, MN 55124. There will be a celebration of life at The Tavern Grill 15435 Founders Ln, Apple Valley 55124.
