Virginia Delores Peterson

Virginia Delores Peterson, of Waseca Minnesota, formerly Montevideo, MN, passed away on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at the age of 85. She was born on March 20, 1939 in Montevideo, MN where she grew up later resided in Lac Qui Parle Village.

She attended Montevideo senior high in Montevideo, MN and worked at offermans hatchery, Bingo assistant, Pull tab attendant, and also did meat cutting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Peterson; and father and mother, Leon and Glayds Noard.

Virginia is survived by her son, Robert of LIttle Falls, MN; her daughter, Beverly (Rick) Reynolds of Waseca, MN; sister, Judy (Arden) Bendix of Echo Minnesota; special nephew, Jim Bendix and his wife of Echo, MN; and very special friends, Deb and Daniel Dack of Montevideo, MN and Rhonda of Montevideo, MN, who was her neighbor and a great friend to her.

Virginia loved keeping a nice home and decorating it. She enjoyed bingo and playing slot machines at the casino and took several trips with her daughter, Beverly, in her younger years.

Virginia was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and was being cared for by her daughter and son-in-law in Waseca, MN along with the assistance of St. Croix Hospice.

The family would like to thank Mayo clinic staff at all locations and especially St. Croix Hospice team for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.

There will be no services. Neptune Society assisted with the cremation.
