She was born on May 24th, 1931 in Lindford, MN, and grew up with her 10 siblings on the family farm.
Violet enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Polkinghorne; granddaughter; Emily Margarette Polkinghorne, and daughter-in-law, Ingrid Polkinghorne.
Violet is survived by her four children, Jeffery (Trudy) Polkinghorne, Susan (Bryan) Evarts, Sally (Steve) Cassellius, and Don (Christine) Polkinghorne; grandchildren, Coleman Polkinghorne, Connor Evarts, Kathryn Moser, Francisco Cassellius, Gina Cassellius, and Dane Polkinghorne.
