Susan Marie Thoele

Beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Susan “Sue” M. Thoele, of Minnetrista, MN, passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 64.

A nurse by trade, her true passion was always caring for those around her. Sue’s beautiful quilts will keep people warm with her love, care, and meticulous craftsmanship for years to come. Her gardens always brought beauty to the world. Her home was always open to those she loved, and she was a superb hostess for friends and family alike.

Sue was a steadfast caretaker, never fully able to turn off the warm hearted, protective nature that brought her to nursing. Whether hosting a lavish dinner with her fantastic cooking, attending her book club, cheering on the Twins, visiting her loved ones, or looking after her sweet dog Charlie, Sue went out of her way to be gracious and hospitable.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Tom, and her mother, Lavonne. Sue is survived by her son, Ben (Mylissa), father, Don, and siblings, Barb (Joel), Becky (Paul), and Craig (Lyn). She will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege to know her.
